Find answers to common questions about calculating mulch, topsoil and gravel quantities for landscaping projects.

Use the calculator to enter your garden bed length, width and mulch depth. For most garden beds, 50–75mm is suitable for maintenance, while 100mm is recommended for new garden beds.

For topsoil, enter your project area and the required depth in metres, centimetres or millimetres. Garden soil and veggie mix are commonly installed at a depth of 150–200mm, depending on your landscaping project.

For gravel or decorative pebbles, enter your area measurements and choose a depth of around 50–75mm for most decorative landscaping applications. The calculator will estimate the cubic metres required.
